Sheri has had a deep love of the arts all of her life. Growing up in Philadelphia, she was exposed to music and theater at a very young age and has been surrounded by her father’s artwork all of her life. While being a stay home mom, she trained and became licensed as a Kindermusik instructor and taught in her home studio for 2 years. Wanting to branch out and offer her own program less focused on musical instruction, she began designing lesson plans using her own children as her inspiration. When her daughter’s dance studio was closing in 2012, she took over the space, opened her own studio, and discovered her unexpected new path in life. A very bumpy path that honed her skills and tested her conviction. She learned that she loved producing shows, collaborating with teachers to create memorable performances, working within the community to provide performances to seniors and schools, and most importantly, offering all her students a meaningful performing arts education experience. Sheri feels a deep responsibility to provide her students with good quality training that will help them grow as artists and enrich their lives. She believes that everyone should have the opportunity to dance and welcomes anyone who wishes to learn in her studio. After 8 years, she is more excited than ever to share her vision and build Belmont Center into a welcoming and safe environment that nurtures a love of dance and performing arts in her students and her community.
